This wilted candle sprawled across the holder despite the spike which was supposed to hold it upright. Nice candle holder too. It makes a fine image.
I was considering what caused it to “wilt”.
Either old age, or a small tell tale sign. The candle was apparently burning when it failed, so I think that the flame heated the spike causing it too melt through. the lop-sided candleholder helped contribute and assist gravity at that point.
Just my thinking… who knows for sure.
Such an odd position for a candle. Looks a bit sad to me…
