A nice little story. Like the picture with the open doors. But I do miss a closup of the sign on the window. What does it say? Don’t feed the bears? 🙂
Yes, “Please, DON’T FEED THE BEARS”
Means of travel was my somewhat encrypted motif today. All three images where one after the other. The highway marker was just in front of the store, and the rail tracks directly behind. It was one of those moments where I had to do a quick U-turn or an About Face in order to verify what I just saw.
Happens to you too?
Yes it happens a lot. My kids use to get tired of me stopping all the time 🙂 And you are right, I was taught to “kill your darlings” when you write a story and its the same thing when you tell a story in pictures. And I do like your story. But it’s a nice sign 🙂
This reminds me of a small town not too far from where I live. The town is only a few buildings an four corners and only store is feed store where the locals buy their groceries. A single rail line crosses the intersection.

Love how the images tell the story of the time and place. Well done!!!
A very interesting series. I especially like the barn shot and the rails. Fine post!
