San Pedro Springs Park

“This morning a Light man visited the Springs where the little rock summer house will soon have a fountain playing in its center. The place itself is cer­tainly very pretty, but the addition of a fountain with the many colored rays of the sun shining upon it, produced by the painted glass at the top, will enhance its beauty.”

Today, this fountain supplies moisture for maiden­hair fern and lichen that grow in the rock crevices. A small rock-lined canal encircling the building carries the waste water to one of the park’s many ditches.
