05-26-2013 flash flood

Saturday May 25, torrential rains that brought flash-flood warnings across South Texas, caused several dozen people to be evacuated after water rose rapidly through a neighborhood near the Mission Espada, one of the 18th century Spanish colonial missions that dot the city’s south side along the San Antonio River. Since Friday evening, the San Antonio area received approximately 13.19 inches of rain, swelling the San Antonio River to a new crest record of 60 ft.
